Air Conditioning

Air conditioning service

At AT Technicians garage, we pride ourselves on going above and beyond for the customer. We offer air-con service – both recharge and re-gas, plus a thorough check, repair and clean service of the system. We will diagnose any problem. With our new machine, we can recharge the more common refrigerant, R134a, which was used before 2016. We can also recharge the newer standard gas, R1234yf and CO2 R744, for the newest cars and all models, this gas is known to be greener. This service is not available in many facilities. We also recommend having a nitrogen air conditioner test before re-gas. The test is not included in the re-gas prices. We will ensure that our service makes your vehicle’s air conditioning system run as efficiently as possible.

Frequently Asked Questions

How often should I service my car’s air conditioning system?

If you notice weak airflow, unpleasant odours, warm air instead of cold, or unusual noises when using the AC, it’s time to have your system inspected by professionals like AT Technicians.

We recommend servicing your car’s air conditioning system at least once every 12 to 24 months to maintain optimal cooling performance and prevent refrigerant leaks.

Yes, at AT Technicians, we offer re-gassing for most modern and older vehicles, including both R134a and R1234yf refrigerant types, depending on your car’s requirements.

Is air conditioning servicing important during winter months too?

Absolutely. Your car’s AC system helps dehumidify air and clear your windscreen in cold weather, so regular servicing is important all year round.

Yes, our technicians are equipped to diagnose and repair most AC faults including leaks, worn compressors, or blocked condensers, right at our workshop.

A typical air conditioning service takes between 45 minutes to 1 hour depending on the condition of the system and any additional repairs required.
